New York City is an eclectic city. It is the epicenter of world commerce and home to hundreds of America’s most prosperous businesses. At the same time, over 8.5 million individuals call NYC home. New Yorkers are proud, heck, New Yorkers are even loud, but each one is his or her own world. Dreams, hopes, loves, fears and aspirations. What sets us apart yet brings us all together is our sense of community – we help one another and see each other as extensions of ourselves.
Being part of a community is a responsibility and a calling. Jack Jaffa and Associates embodies the spirit of eclectic NY. It is a proud, prosperous firm, yet with a beating heart! On the surface we may be loud, and we are definitely proud. Our clients are the stuff of legends and we service them like no other. Yet at the core of our existence and what drives our mission is but one objective – the individual and their safety – “JaffaCares”.
SAFETY SUNDAY
at Spring Creek Towers, Brooklyn, NY
LOCAL NEW YORK CITY BUSINESS BRINGS SAFETY, FUN AND COMMUNITY TO BROOKLYN
Festivities were in the air at Spring Creek Towers in Eastern Brooklyn this past Sunday August 4th. Children and their families gathered on the basketball courts outside the Brooklyn Sports Club on Van Siclen Avenue for the JaffaCares Safety Sunday. There were hundreds of bicycle helmets and over a thousand stove knob safety covers available for residents to collect free of charge.
In addition to the giveaways, the NYPD was there registering bikes, and the FDNY had a booth to distribute safety information. A fire truck made an appearance for the children to meet the firemen and to take photos with them and their truck.
“Our mission is all about safety, and this event, just like the others we’ve done before, are the natural outcome of the safety work we do every single day.”
-Mr. Jack Jaffa (CEO Jack Jaffa & Associates)
State Senator Roxanne Persaud was in attendance as well to show her support for the initiative.
The highlight of the day was a high-octane basketball game played with law enforcement and first responders while being coached by the teens of the neighborhood.
“this was a profound opportunity to be able to interact with the people we’re paid to defend, and the comradery was amazing.”
-Mr. Michael Hernandez (Department of Public Safety officer, formerly of the NYPD)

THE NEW YORK WARM INITIATIVE
WINTER STRIKES
For many, winter is synonymous with warmth – of family time around the fireplace or dinner table, of holiday spirits and cozy memories.
For others, winter is but a hurdle to survive, to get through and surmount – and is at times insurmountable.
Jack Jaffa and Associates together with JaffaCares, strives to bring a little bit of winter’s warmth to those that only feel its cold. And on February 5th and 6th the Jaffa team took to the streets to spread some much needed NYC warmth!
With the participation of NYC council members and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York and Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens, we take one more step at making New York a better, warmer place to live.
THE STOVE SAFETY INITIATIVE
TRAGEDY STRIKES
Sadly, tragedy is a part of human existence and not a choice….
Winter of 2017 saw a heart wrenching tragedy when 13 people perished in a blaze started by a child that had access to unprotected stove knobs.
…yet prevention is, and so is generosity and care.
Winter of 2018 brings about positive change as NYC launches a new law, sponsored by Councilmen Torres, Duetsch and Borough President Diaz, requiring all apartments with children under the age of 6 to be supplied with stove knob safety covers.
BEGINNING DECEMBER 6TH, COUNCILMAN TORRES’ BILL GOES INTO EFFECT AND JAFFACARES WILL BE SPONSORING FREE KNOBS FOR NYC RESIDENTS TO ENSURE THAT SUCH A TRAGEDY DOES NOT REPEAT ITSELF.
We are proud to stand together with Mr. Torres, the Borough President and all the other NYC council members in doing our share to help the community and sharing our heart with NY! Pick up a FREE set of knobs from one of the over thirty participating council member’s office.
Countless projects have been initiated and millions of dollars have been donated to worthy NYC causes that help the individual and community…and we’re just getting started!
We invite you to check back here often to follow JaffaCares on its journey to make NYC a safer place to live.
We would love to hear from you!
